MORE ACTIONS TO TAKE

Look into these national organizations that will keep you active and engaged: Supermajority (for women), ACLU People Power, NOW (FOR MEN & WOMEN FIGHTING FOR EQUAL RIGHTS), Indivisible, Working Families Power, Human Rights Campaign, MoveOn and find local actions using Mobilize.

Reports of increased ICE activity in Northern Manhattan requires us to prepare ourselves. If you acquired your citizenship through brith or naturalization there are ways to be an ally to our most vulnerable neighbors. However, recently, there have been a number of U.S. born citizens who were unlawfully detained and removed from the U.S.A.. For anyone in our community who is concerned, there are ways to prepare for your dependents and to ensure you have a home to return to (lease renewal, power of attorney, temporary guardianship for children) - for U.S. born citizens as well as immigrants (undocumented and documented). Find out more at these links: Solidarity & Sanctuary in Northern Manhattan from Senator Robert Jackson & Community Leader Johanna Garcia, Being an Immigrant Ally from Indivisible.org, Video Instructions on when ICE comes to your door from the ACLU, and a One Page PDF on when ICE stops you outside your home which is also from the ACLU.
